Whidbey Island is the perfect destination for a summer wedding, and the Captain Whidbey Inn is one of the most charming and unique venues on the island. The Captain Whidbey Inn is a historic lodge that has been beautifully restored, with original woodwork and cozy rooms that make you feel right at home.

Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing Kendall and Conor’s wedding at the Captain Whidbey Inn, and it was one of my favorite days I’ve ever photographed. The couple, their guests, and all of the vendors involved in the wedding made it so beautiful, intentional, and seamless.

The wedding ceremony took place on the inn’s lawn, with a stunning view of the water and the surrounding trees. Kendall and Conor exchanged vows under a floral arch created by Goldenrod Floral Design, which perfectly complemented the natural beauty of the island.

The reception was held on the backside lawn, which was decorated with colorful flowers and the most incredible table settings. Erika at Hallea Events did an amazing job coordinating the details of the event, making sure everything ran smoothly and creating a welcoming and summery atmosphere.

I can’t recommend The Captain Whidbey Inn for your wedding venue enough – I even sneak away there for my personal getaways whenever I can! Not only is the inn an incredible experience, but there’s so much to do on Whidbey Island especially for guests who are coming from out of town.

Having a summer wedding at the Captain Whidbey Inn is without a doubt, one of the best decisions you can make for your wedding. ✨
