One of the best things about eloping is that you are able to stay in some epic destinations because it’s likely just you and your soon-to-be spouse, so you aren’t worrying about crazy accommodations. Washington State is home to some beautiful cabins, and as an adventure elopement photographer, it’s important to me to scout these out and make suggestions so that you get a) the best cabin elopement experience ever, and b) some incredible photo ops at said cabins 😉
Whether it’s an A-Frame cabin surrounding Mount Rainier, or a cozy and secluded spot near Mount Baker to hot tub at after your elopement – we’ve got all the cabin options to choose from and I’ve done the work to sort out some of the BEST.
This romantic cabin is a renovated 1969 A-Frame that sites on the Columbia River Basin. It’s near Mt. Baker National Forest and it has views for days. There are also hiking trails, fishing, and plenty of outdoor activities to partake in during your stay. It comes complete with a woodburning stove, a spa style shower with a heated floor, and an outdoor hot tub!
Another 1960’s A-Frame, this little cabin is tucked between the Cowlitz River and Coal Creek. It boasts gorgeous mountain views, ample opportunity to take in nature, and beautiful photo ops before or after your elopement. The glass windows and glass door make for great unobstructed views of the surrounding nature. Plus, the cutest lights that you can turn on when it starts to get dark! I love.
Bringing a few people is not off-limits for your elopement, and this cabin is a great fit for a small group. Located just 4 miles from Mt. Rainer, this stylish and modern cabin still has a cozy feel to it. Since it’s only 2 hours from Seattle, it’s relatively easy to get to, and there are ample activities and scenery to take in once you arrive. The woodburning stove and kitchen make this place a real charmer.
Secluded, modern, and just minutes away from wildlife spotting, hiking and breathtaking views. One of the best things about this cabin is that it’s pet-friendly! So, if your pet is coming along for your elopement, there are no issues here. There’s also a gas fireplace and a large lounging couch inside and big firepit and ample stargazing outside.
6 acres all to yourself makes for the perfect elopement location. This cabin is romantic and comes equipped with a spacious upper bedroom. The large kitchen includes a breakfast bar, and there is an outdoor firepit with firewood included. The true gem is the turquoise pond which makes for some fantastic photo opportunities or just splashing around.
Roslyn Digs (Bonus: they have THREE cabins!!)
Roslyn Digs have become some of my favorite cabins to stay at – even if it’s just for a BFF getaway for myself! They have 3 (and counting) properties and you simply cannot go wrong at any of them. The few that are nestled in the Roslyn, WA area are near woods, scenic lakes and hikes, and the sweetest little mountain town of Roslyn.
Timberstilts is another amazing cabin near Roslyn, Washington. Imagine getting ready up in the trees, or snuggling up in the hot tub after your elopement. It has a modern charm to it and the most beautiful light I’ve ever seen! It’s the perfect location for a snowy and magical getaway, or a summer escape to Central Washington.
The Little Owl Cabin has got to be on the top of your list if you’re eloping in or near Mount Rainier National Park. It is the sweetest little A-Frame cabin that’s going to give you the coziest, most secluded feels as you embark on this adventure of eloping together. It’s adjacent to the National Forest, and was originally built in the ’70’s, which I personally love! Could you imagine staying at this cabin as you explore Mount Rainier National Park and elope with your partner? I know I’m in!
Ashford Cabin (near Rainier) – someone say winter and hottubbing?
I’ll be honest – I don’t wanna vacation ANYWHERE if there’s not a hot tub involved. If you’re like me, then this cabin is gonna make it’s way to the top of your list as well. Nestled in the Mount Rainier town of Ashford, you’ll have no shortage of access to trails and explorations, and you’ll reap those benefits when we nail down the spot you choose to elope in! End the day with a soak and some brews after making this official in the park, and snuggle away in this cabin oasis.
There are plenty of other amazing cabins to choose for your Washington Adventure Elopement, but before you book your stay, make sure that the owners are okay with your plans, and that the space will fit your needs. As long as the owners sign off on your elopement, you can check that off of your to-do list. And think of it this way, a cabin can be exactly what makes your elopement more than some vows, but a true adventure and getaway as well.
