On the shores of Hood Canal lies one of Washington’s most coveted resort wedding venues, Alderbrook Resort and Spa. Lauren and Will reached out with their planning team in tact with A Renee Weddings and a vision that felt both nautical and eclectic, and I knew it would be a wedding I looked forward to all year. Whimsical illustrations by Ten Story Stationery and some of the most beautiful florals I’ve seen by Little Joy Fleurs anchored the playful creative decisions made by the couple, while wishbone chairs and a stunning navy blue back bar added elegant structure to the design. Intentional hints of plaid and stripes in their linens gave a nod to the feeling of a crisp Autumn on the water.
Entering into their draped tented reception felt absolutely transformative. As the October chill started to roll in after a sun drenched (how lucky!) ceremony and cocktail hour, guests cozied up around candlelit tables, listened to the live saxophonist, and leaned in over sentimental speeches.
This was a weekend where I truly look back and think wow, what a team, what a vision, and best of all -what an amazing couple surrounded by an equally lovely community.
