If you are looking for a Washington wedding venue that exudes a garden party chic vibe, Chateau Lill in Woodinville, WA is the venue for you. Not only does it have the perfect grounds for a garden party aesthetic, but it also feels like you could be in the heart of Tuscany – while only being less than 30 minutes away from Seattle. The venue itself has Italian themes to the structure and interior decor, while the grounds are nestled in rolling hills of vineyards that provide that illusion of being in the Italian countryside. Not to mention, Woodinville really is home to so many beautiful vineyards and wineries – so it’s a great place for your guests to treat themselves to tastings and high touch dining experiences in the area.
Photographing weddings at Chateau Lill over the years has always been a creative playground, and this beautiful June day celebrating Jamie and Kia was no different. From getting ready in the dappled light of the bridal suite, to their ceremony on the lawn by the pond surrounded by green, cocktail hour games and portraits under the trees in the iconic driveway, it was a stunning day I won’t soon forget.
In this blog, you’ll get a taste of some of the images that I took on both digital and 35/120 film, as well as some informative insights about Chateau Lill as a wedding venue. I hope you enjoy. ✨
When you reach the end of this blog, don’t forget to check out a few more Washington wedding venue blogs that I have linked in the bottom.

A Bridal Suite with Natural Light and Fun Textures
One of the nicest things a venue can offer on site is a bridal suite that has all the elements for stunning getting ready portraits and a relaxing environment for the wedding party. Not to mention, being able to keep all your things on site throughout the day as opposed to shuttling from a hotel frees up so much time and keeps things feeling smooth throughout the day.

Italian Inspired Ambience at Chateau Lill
From the vineyards, natural stone exterior of the venue, ivy crawling up windows, and even some fun livestock friends nearby (hi, baby llamas!), you can’t help but feel like you are in the Italian countryside at Chateau Lill.

Chateau Lill Ceremony by the Pond
Chateau Lill offers many different ceremony site options, but I love that Jamie and Kia chose the lawn overlooking the pond for their ceremony. This site has the ability to seat 200 people, too, which is wonderful news for those hosting larger gatherings.

Garden Party Dinner Reception in the Vineyard
With such beautiful weather and a small group, Jamie and Kia of course had to celebrate their nuptials with their nearest and dearest with a long table by the vineyard. The details and styling of this shoot were so stunning, and I love the look of the Bentwood chairs in brown for a natural yet contrasted look against the greens.
If you are having a larger gathering, or want to have a solid rain plan in place, Chateau Lill also offers beautiful tenting options on their Terrace Patio. You can learn more about these options on their site, linked here.

Couple’s Portraits in Front of Chateau Lill

I’d be remiss to not acknowledge all of the incredible vendors that came together for this beautiful afternoon at Chateau Lill. While I’ve shot real weddings at Chateau Lill before, I want to be transparent that this day in particular was a styled shoot to showcase all the ways this beautiful property can be utilized. It could not have been done without the fabulous team below.
