GUYS. This Gold Creek Pond engagement shoot. It has my heart, what can I say?

While we had originally planned to head to Mount Rainier National Park for their engagement photos, the weather pretty quickly disagreed with that plan. So a few days before, we went back to the drawing board and landed on the idea of grabbing a few shots at their favorite Seattle coffee shop, Storyville, and heading east a ways to Gold Creek Pond near Snoqualmie.

It ended up being the picture-perfect Fall day. The weather was perfect, and the colors for this Gold Creek Pond engagement shoot were absolutely unreal. The touches of gold, orange, and rich greens and blues made for the most ideal Fall background. Not to mention, Katelyn and Cody are total cuties who were so much fun and down for it all. I had my creative fun while shooting through different colored foliage and creating photos that had some interesting vignetting, and of course they rocked three amazing outfits, too.

Also, wanted to share just a couple fun tips that can help your engagement session run smoothly!!

1) Bring an extra pair of shoes! We might be walking or hiking around depending on your location, and we want to make sure you stay comfortable

2) Pack a duffel bag! You can carry your outfit changes around, make-up refreshers if you need, and those extra shoes. And perhaps one very important thing people often don’t think about….

3) Some fun juice!! Aka bring a flask or a beer or a little can of wine or something because if getting your photos taken makes ya feel a little nervous, I have totally seen this help people relax and get more into their element 😉 If you’re not a drinker – NO WORRIES!! We can pop some fizzy water or just play your favorite pump-up jam and have a blast anyway!
