Okay time to fess up – this wasn’t a real wedding. It was a Styled Shoot with two different couples, but I just had to share because it is absolute GOALS. It mimics some amazing ideas for a Portland LGBTQ wedding and will make your eyes fall out of your head when you see the groom from the other shoot sporting a PINK TUX. It’s everything you could have hoped for and more.

So basically, a few weeks ago I got to collaborate with a bunch of amazing wedding vendors and photographers for this amazing photoshoot in Portland. The whole day was absolutely perfect. I got to Portland early, explored some good foodie finds, make a trip to Powel’s, and oogled at the downtown Anthropologie. Then got to absorb this trendy and eclectic wedding shoot, pose our amazing models, and hang out with some new PNW photographer friends. I am one refreshed and happy photographer!

If you know me, you know I care deeply for the LGBTQ community and I always want to show that in my work and in the ways I conduct myself. Working and styling a “Portland LGBTQ wedding” was an incredible way for me to do that. I want more than anything, for couples of all kinds to find my work and see themselves in it. If you’re a photographer, I urge you to strive for the same thing. Let’s make the wedding industry an inclusive one.
